Lemon Gerbera Daisy cake
I was asked to create a birthday cake for my niece Victoria, who celebrates her birthday on August 2nd. Yellow is one of her favorite colors, and she asked for lemon flavor. Here's what I came up with: 3 tiers of vanilla butter cake filled with lemon mousse, iced with lemon buttercream and decorated with gerbera daisies.

Because Victoria was turning nine years old, I plotted out nine daisies on the top tier, which also acted as candle holders. The top area on this cake could easily hold a cake topper, a large gerbera daisy smack-dab in the middle, or even another mini-tier! This is quite a large cake, that has 36-40 generous dessert servings. As wedding cake servings are usually smaller, this would serve up to 50 guests.
